MUMBAI: Yahoo! has announced plans for the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games. This
includes a new website, mobile and search products to help follow the games, as
well as several new programming and product sponsors.
The
new website from Yahoo! Sports (http:// sports.yahoo .com/olympics) will provide
minute coverage from Yahoo! Sports' editorial team, videos and photos. Yahoo!
has also teamed up with several Olympians for the editorials.
In addition, Yahoo! will also launch a mobile-specific website to help users get
updates on their mobiles. Users will be able to track the medal count, get the
latest news, see photos and read the commentary on the Games from Yahoo!'s experts.
"Whether
on the computer or on the go, Yahoo! will give fans timely and compelling coverage
of this year's games," said Yahoo! Sports GM James Pitaro.
