MUMBAI: Electronic Arts (EA) and Capcom have acquired distribution rights for the game Devil May Cry 4 on PC for Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Philippines.

This pan regional initiative is the latest offering to gamers in Asia brought about by EA Partners and Capcom. The game is scheduled to ship on 17 July.

Devil May Cry 4 on PC features new game modes and more engaging visual customization options to help players enhance their game play experience. It also comes with Turbo mode which will turn up the action to insane speeds, and a Legendary Dark Knight mode will fill the screen with a large number of enemies for extra difficulty. The PC version will also have familiar enemies from the console versions revisiting in new locations.

Devil May Cry 4 is already a certifiable hit in the console world, having shipped over two million units worldwide since its release in February 2008. Capcom Asia believes that Electronic Arts’ strength in marketing and retail distribution will make the game an even bigger hit in Asia where PC gaming is widely popular,” said Capcom director Hiroshi Tobisawa.

One of the major features introduced into Devil May Cry 4 is the presence of two playable characters, Nero and Dante where newcomer Nero clashes with veteran Dante. As the new leading man, Nero players will unleash incredible attacks and non-stop combos using a unique new game play mechanic: the powerful “Devil Bringer” on his right arm.

"Devil May Cry is an internationally acclaimed franchise with a strong following and we are very excited to distribute this successful franchise in Asia,” said EA Asia GM and VP Chris Thompson.

From the producer of Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 4 features high definition visuals moving at 60 frames per second, and has blend of new and familiar elements.
