MUMBAI: The direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Tata Sky has approached Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (Tdsat) stating it should be discharged from complying with the undertaking submitted by ESPN Software India Private Ltd (ESIPL).

Tdsat has admitted the appeal and Justice Arun Kumar has asked ESIPL to file its reply by Friday this week, says a PTI report.

Earlier, Tata Sky had filed an injunction application against ESIPL in the Delhi High Court, which was overturned by the Court.

The Court had maintained that Tdsat should take a view on whether Tata Sky should be allowed to be bound down by its undertaking or not. The Court had also directed the parties to approach the Tdsat for an early hearing.
