NEW DELHI: Trai (Telecom Regulatory Authority
of India) has ordered the three existing
direct-to-home (DTH) operators - Tata Sky,
Dish TV and Sun Direct TV - to submit quarterly
performance monitoring reports (PMRs) within
21 days from the end of each quarter to
the regulator and the ministry of Information
and Broadcasting.
The
information will include carriage fee charged
from the broadcaster, number of registered
and active subscribers on the last date
of the quarter, details of subscription
and installation plans, redressal of grievances
of DTH subscribers by call centre, and name
and type of the channels dropped during
the quarter along with the reasons for it.
