MUMBAI:
Viacom18's Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Colors,
which launched today, has acquired the television rights for
the second season of reality show Bigg Boss.
Produced
by Endemol India, Bigg Boss will replace Colors' driver
show Fear Factor Khataron Ke Khiladi from 18 August.
It will air from Monday to Thursday at 10 pm.
The first season
of both the shows had earlier aired on Sony Entertainment Television (Set).
Says
Colors CEO Rajesh Kamat, Bigg Boss season 2 is
going to air on Colors. Our channel is all about zazbaat
ke rang (colours of emotions) and Bigg Boss is one
of the unique formats that brings out all possible zazbaat
in one show.
For the show, the channel has roped in Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty
as one of its contestants. Bigg
Boss is an Indian version of its original reality show Big Brother.
In each series, a group of around 16 people live together full-time in the Bigg
Boss House, isolated from the outside world but under the continuous gaze
of television cameras. |
