Panasonic launches 2008 Viera plasma and LCD TVs

NEW DELHI: Panasonic has launched 2008 Viera range of plasma and LCD televisions.

 

The four new Viera LCD variants include TX-32LX800, the 800 series with 32-inch screens; TX-37LX80, the 80 series with 37-inch screens; TX-32LX80, another 80 series with 32-inch screens; and TX-32LE8, the 8 series with 32-inch screens.

The LCD panel incorporates IPS Alpha technology with 178 degree wide viewing angle, contrast ratio of 10,000:1, energy-saving backlight, and Viera link for simple networking.

 
The company has plans to launch two more new models shortly in the 37-inch (full HD) and in the 26-inch category.

Currently, the plasma screens that Panasonic sells in India are available in the range of 42-inch to 103-inch. For this year, the manufacturer has introduced three new plasma variants, namely, TH-50PV80 (50 inch HD), TH-42PV80 (42 inch HD) and TH-42PV8 (42 inch HD). In addition, the company will also be introducing two more full high definition models - TH-50PY850 (50 inches) and TH-65PY850 (65 inches) - shortly this year.

At present Plasma TH-42PV80 (42 inch HD) is available at Rs 74,990 and TH-42PV8 (42 inch HD) is available at Rs 69,990. Panasonic's Viera range of LCDs are available at prices ranging between Rs 44, 900 to Rs 59,900.
