MUMBAI: Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has appointed Reji Cherian as Telecom, Media and Entertainment (TME) India leader.

Cherian will be responsible for overseeing Capgemini’s Bangalore TME Centre of Excellence, which will play an integral part in supporting the company’s communication transformation platform (CTP) as its global delivery platform.

He will also be in charge of developing the company’s ‘One Team’ policy, thereby improving synergy between onshore and offshore operations as part of Capgemini’s rightshore strategy. Cherian will be based in Bangalore, initially with those working on the TME North America projects. These people will report directly to him.

The company adds that the TME sector continues to experience steady growth with clients seeking guidance in developing and implementing their business process and IT transformation.
