MUMBAI:
Reliance ADAG is gearing up for the launch of its bouquet
of entertainment channels. As a step in this direction, Big
Broadcasting has appointed Manavjeet Singh as head - distribution.
In his new post, Singh will be handling the distribution function
for the Indian and overseas markets.
Prior
to joining Big Broadcasting, Singh was working as country
head and EVP for Reliance Consumer Finance, a division of
Reliance Capital, which comprised vehicle loans, mortgages,
SME loans, credit card and personal loans. Before that, he
was part of the retail assets team with HDFC Bank working
as EVP.
Big
Broadcasting has signed up Asiasat 3S for one C-band transponder.
Big
Broadcasting will launch a bouquet of TV channels spread across
genres to appeal at national, regional, mass and niche levels.
The
first channels to come up will be in the movie space.
