MUMBAI:
Brazilian Catholic channel TV Canção Nova, along
with teleport SatLink Communications, has announced today
the TV channel's launch into the Asian market on SatLink's
Asiasat 2 MCPC platform.
With
the Vaticans representatives in the Holy Land (Custodia
di Terra Santa) already connected to SatLinks teleport
via fibre optics, this move is yet another step in the growing
relationship between the two.
TV
Canção Nova is already globally present on a
range of satellites, but the channels launch to Asiasat
2 is its first step into Asia-Pacific region. The channel
says that it maintains a differentiated programming in the
television scene, with spirituality, journalism, childrens
programmes, events, interviews, discussions, music, entertainment,
culture and promotional programmes.
