Sony to offer Fifa Interactive World Cup on PlayStation 3

MUMBAI: Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), in collaboration with FIFA and EA, is all set to roll out the FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) in India. The event will be played exclusively on PlayStation 3 platform.

 

The qualifier round of FIWC is on 27 January in Mumbai. Winners of the pre-qualifying round from Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai will win gift hampers and an entry to the FIWC Qualifying Event. The winner of the India chapter will compete in the world championship to be held at Berlin, Germany. PlayStation has already started promoting the event in various youth hangouts and in store.

 

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe country manager Atindriya Bose said, "With the added realism that PlayStation 3 brings to FIFA 08, we have every belief that now is the time to truly make an impact with the FIFA Interactive World Cup."

The new FIFA 08 game from EA Sports is also available on other PlayStation platforms like PS2 and PSP.
