MUMBAI:
The Telugu entertainment channel Maa TV has added a new serial
called Shailu to its repertoire of entertainment programming.
An
emotional family entertainer, Shailu will go on air
in the prime time band from 7.30 pm to 8.00 pm every Monday
to Thursday.
 Shailu's
story chronicles the lives of an unwed mother and her abandoned
child who grows up to be a beautiful young woman. It depicts
their yearning for each other and their conflicts, how they
cope with and succumb to their respective situations.
Rasool,
the director of many successful serials like Nagastram,
Nagama and game shows like Bangaram Mee Kosam both
in Tamil and Telugu, is the director of this serial. Lakshmi
of Nagastram fame is the lead female protagonist of
the serial. Cinematographer PRK Raju, who worked for film
legend Bapu, handles the camera.
In
addition, Shailu has film actors like Murali Mohan
and popular television artist Sri Ram in important characters.
