MUMBAI:
Alfred Haber Distribution, Inc. (AHDI), the exclusive international
distributor for the 14th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG)
Awards, has announced a number of significant sales in key
international territories that include Australia, Germany,
Canada, Southeast Asia, Turkey and New Zealand, according
to an official release.
The
licensed markets for the two-hour star-studded event - which
honours the best performances in film and television and airs
live in the US on TNT and TBS, on 27 January 2008 - include
Showtime (Australia), SunTV (Canada), Prosieben (Germany),
Sky Network (New Zealand), Star (Southeast Asia), AKS (Turkey),
MBC (Middle East), Non-Stop (Scandinavia), ITC Screen (Iceland),
TV6 (Ireland) and ABS-CBN (Philippines).
"The
Screen Actors Guild Awards has become one of the 'must see'
award shows," commented AHDI executive VP (worldwide
sales) Robert Kennedy. "Our sales in major international
markets are indicative of the show's success as a fixture
amongst the most watched awards telecast around the globe."
The
superstar SAG awards nominees this year include George Clooney
(Michael Clayton), Javier Bardem (No Country for
Old Men), Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age)
and Angelina Jolie (A Mighty Heart).
