MUMBAI:
NDTV's upcoming Hindi general entertainment channel will hit
the television screens on Monday 21 January from 7 pm onwards
with a reality show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
NDTV
Imagine has a line up of shows across genres ranging from
light-hearted family soaps to period dramas and from music-based
shows to the glamorous events of the industry.

For
the new Hindi GEC on the block, its prime time weekday shows
will run Monday through to Friday. NDTV Imagine will start
its prime time at 7 pm with SOL's Nachle Ve… which
according to NDTV Imagine programming head Shailja Kejriwal
is a dance school coming to audiences.
"7
pm is the time when women and children can watch and learn
dance at home in a simplified manner from Saroj Khan. It's
like a dancing school coming to home," avers Kejriwal.
The
half hour slot from 8 pm has been given to Sagar Art's Dharam
Veer, followed by the celebrity reality show Say Shava
Shava at 8:30 pm. Say Shava…, has two USPs
to its credit - a continuous 11-day run and celeb judges Karan
Johar and Simi Garewal together for the first time on the
small screen.
Once
it gets over, the shows like Radha Ki Betiyan Kuch Kar
Dikhayengi (Monday), Ek Packet Umeed (Tuesday)
Raajkumar Aaryyan (Wednesday) Dhoom Macha De (Friday
and Saturday) will follow the same one hour time slot.
Imagine
has given the 9:30 pm slot to the Sagar Arts' mythological
Ramayan. The mytho that had television audiences spellbound
20 years ago is back, reconditioned and refurbished.
In
weekdays at 10 pm Jassuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family
(Hats Off Productions) will be followed by Rajshri films'
Main Teri Parchhain Hoon - a fiction based drama.
As
reported already reported by Indiantelevision.com,
weekends have been kept for films and event-based content.
Additionally, the afternoon band has not been announced yet.
"We
are concentrating on launching our channel. Once it establishes,
we will introduce the afternoon band," says Kejriwal.
