The Weather Channel ties up with earthTV

MUMBAI: XYZnetworks' The Weather Channel has signed a deal with earthTV, to provide its viewers with a 90-second visual journey to some of the world's most fascinating destinations, with 360-degree pans and bird's-eye views.

earthTV will broaden The Weather Channel's broadcast providing viewers with relevant vision that will complement current forecasts.

earthTV's The World LIVE will air on The Weather Channel, 90 seconds prior to the hour. The World LIVE has a daily viewership of over 2 billion in 160 countries, claims earthTV.

"The affiliation between earthTV and The Weather Channel demonstrates that our programming aims to showcase more than just our core expectation of weather forecasts," said Weather Channel GM Julian Delany.

earthTV president Thomas Hohenacker said, "The Weather Channel has joined over 50 networks and platforms worldwide which air earthTV programming and we look forward to building a firm partnership with The Weather Channel."
