MUMBAI:
The History Channel in collaboration with cricinfo.com will
air the history of India-Australia cricket in Face Off
starting 15 January 2008.
This
four-week special will capture some of the greatest moments
from India-Australia cricketing encounters with entertaining
interstitials that throws light on incidents and anecdotes
from the matches played between these two countries.
The History Channel has also started a contest wherein the
winner will win a holiday trip for two to Sydney. The winners
will also watch the India - Australia match on 24 February
in Adelaide. This contest will be promoted on the channel
and by on-ground activity across media agencies.
Besides
this History Channel will organise an on-ground quiz challenge
to test participants' knowledge around these cricketing moments
in Delhi and Mumbai. The activity will be promoted on The
History Channel and National Geographic Channel.
The
History Channel Senior vice president - content and communication
Rajesh Sheshadri said, "Face Off is another example of
the kind of entertaining programming initiative that The History
Channel offers its viewers."
In
India, History Channel begins broadcasting on 30 November
2003 and today claims a reach to 45 million C&S households.
It comes to India through an affiliation between AETN international
and NGC Network (India) Pvt. Ltd.
