MUMBAI: Cartoon Network has enhanced its website www.cartoonnetworkindia.com by making it more viewer-focused, interactive and immersive.

The enhanced website has features such as video-on-demand, user-generated content, blogs, message boards and gaming functions.

Turner Entertainment Asia Pacific executive director of marketing Vivek Krishnani said, "Kids are early adopters of new technology and at Turner, we have realised the importance of fulfilling their digital needs. The enhancements on the cartoonnetworkindia.com were inspired by our target group's evolving media snacking habits and the increasing number of broadband users and internet penetration in India. As a responsive company, we have to offer our viewers a superior brand experience on our website to continually engage them."


Kids can also express their creativity via the special "My Studio" application, which enables the creation of user-generated content using Cartoon Network's assets to create their own animated story. With extra gaming functions added, friends can challenge each other in multiplayer games. Players can also record and keep improving on their scores with the High-Score Function in Flash games.

In addition, users can talk to each other about their favourite toons and topics that matter to them on the message boards and blogs available on the website. Steps have been taken to ensure that the website is kid-friendly as members' personal contact information is not displayed. The content and activities within the website are monitored and it is mandatory for kids to seek parent consent for website registration.

"While these new and exciting functions will appeal to young internet users, the site also offers an array of options for Cartoon Network's advertising partners.
