MUMBAI:
INX Media's general entertainment channel (GEC) 9X has announced
that Bhojpuri film actor-cum-singer Manoj Tiwari and television
actress-anchor Roshni Chopra will host its upcoming song-and-dance
reality show Chak De Bachche.
 Commenting
on his new avatar, Tiwari said, "It's the first time
I will host a TV show, and I am pleased by the concept and
the scale. This sounds like a whole lot of fun and excitement."
Chopra
added, "The show is unlike all the others on the bandwagon.
Chak De Bachche will be a blend of singing and dancing.
It will be a trip down memory lane for me, taking me back
to my childhood days, and I am looking forward to it."

Telefilms' Gajendrra Siingh, who is producing Chak De Bachche,
said, "Both Manoj and Roshni were the perfect choice
to host the show. They will connect well not only with the
audience, but also with the kids taking part."

Media founder-CEO Indrani Mukerjea said, "Chak De
Bachche will showcase young talent from across the country.
This bi-weekly show, conceived and directed by Gajendrra Siingh,
will air on the weekend, and will put the spotlight on the
best talent among the 8-to-14 age group."
Chopra
has acted in various serials and films. She has also hosted
various shows and award functions.
Tiwari
has starred in a number of Bhojpuri movies. He is also all
set to make his Bollywood debut opposite Sushmita Sen in a
film based on the life of the founder of the Suri Dynasty
Sher Shah Suri.
