DELHI: Amit Varma has joined Audience Measurement and Analytics
Limited (aMap) as chief executive officer.
Before
his present post, Varma was country head-US, International
Business at Reliance Industries Limited (Petroleum Business).
Before
this, Varma spent a little over 13 years at Hindustan Lever
Limited where he rose to become group manager, corporate planning
and research.
Varma
completed his B.Tech degree from IIT Delhi in 1983. In 1989,
he completed his MBA at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
At
Hindustan Lever, Varma was part of its corporate strategy
group that is responsible for providing to the board and profit
center heads a rigorous, quantifiable strategic perspective
in relation to markets, competitors and emerging opportunities.
This group also advised them on strategic growth plans, new
business possibilities, pricing and support expenditure optimization
and moves by competition.
Varma
is based in Bombay.

is an overnight TV Audience Measurement System that provides
data on multiple dimensions like demographics, ownership,
viewership.
