MUMBAI: Refurbishing its afternoon band "Star Dopahar," Star Plus is all set to launch a new show Grahasti on 25 February.

Produced by Sphere Origins, the weekday show at 2:30 pm will replace the existing show Sarrthi.

Star Plus senior creative director Anupama Mandloi said, “Through Grahasti, we are hoping to add newer viewers to our existing strong and loyal viewership in this band that is accredited to programmes such as Bhaabhi, Kumkum, Sarrthi. Our endeavour is to present a story of love, joy and family bonds in adverse situations. Grahasti will present a tale to relate with, and characters to empathise with, which will further enhance and consolidate our vewiership in this slot.”

Grahasti will unfold through a story of seven women belonging to the Khurana household and their journey as they cope with life after the loss of the only male member of the family. It is the story of the hardships faced by the womankind at every stage of their lives, be it as a mother, a daughter or a grandmother. After having lived in a protected environment all the while, destiny suddenly exposes women to a life that forces them to find a footing and identity for themselves.
