MUMBAI: Janson Media has released globally for television, VoD, DVD/video, and new media markets a documentary on India - Mystic India: An Incredible Journey of Inspiration.

This film, now available in HD format, rediscovers what the company says is a land of many mysteries and fascinations. Mystic India is being positioned as the world’s first large-format epic on India, and provides an in-depth look at the culture and history of India, following the incredible journeys of Neelkanth - a young boy who travelled throughout this vast majestic land over the course of many years.

Created by director Keith Melton, cinematographer Reed Smoot, and screenwriter Mose Richards, Mystic India tells the story of an 11-year old boy’s spiritual journey, and in the process, captures the beauty and intrigue of India through images.

The documentary follows Neelkanth to the icy peaks of the Himalayas and the cool, blue Lake Mansarovar, into the wild jungles of Sunderbans and the rain forests of Assam, through the barren deserts, and to the silent shores of South India. The audience can explore and learn from the majesty and the mysticism of India’s art and architecture, music and dance, faces and festivals, customs and costumes which are brought to life on the giant screen.

Mystic India was filmed in over 52 locations throughout the country. The detailed and authentic recreations of sacred shrines and traditional festivals were made possible by a cast of over 45,000 volunteers, secured by producer Baps. The film transports audiences to some of India’s most sacred and treasured destinations, to let them discover why Mark Twain once termed India "the one land that all desire to see."
