MUMBAI:
Rive Gauche Television has closed major sales for many popular
series and specials in their catalogue, following this years
National Association of Television Progamme Executives (Natpe)
convention. The announcement was made by the company's SVP
of international sales Dorothy Crompton.
The
popular series which have been sold out include Sports
Disasters (series 2-6), Monster Machines, Great
Streets and Worlds Most: Daring Robberies
which have been acquired by NBC Universal in Germany.
Germany's
Blue Eyes has acquired Raw History: The Hitler Tape
and UK's ITV4 has acquired World's Most, Bounty Hunters,
and World's Most Dangerous Sports Events.
We
are extremely pleased to announce our sales success in these
important international markets, said Crompton. These
deals reflect the overwhelming enthusiasm of broadcasters
worldwide for our wide-ranging catalogue of non-fiction programming.
Other
broadcasters from the UK include Bravo, which has secured
101 Things Removed from the Human Body and Another
101 Things Removed from the Human Body, and Living TV,
which has bought Outrageous Home Videos series.
Others
include Planete Cable (France) which has acquired Dino
Lab, Intra Communications (Russia & CIS) which has
acquired Did You See That? (series 1-2) and Photoplay
(Greece) which has acquired Sports Disasters (series
2-6), Wild Weddings (series 1-2), and World's Most.
