MUMBAI:
UTV Software Communications is entering into multiple joint
ventures in a bid to ramp up its television content business.
The
company has inked separate JVs with Smriti Irani and Shekhar
Suman to jointly produce shows for various channels. This
will be in addition to UTV’s individual efforts to produce
content for TV channels.
"We
plan strong growth through our partnering initiatives. We
are currently forming multiple joint ventures with well known
names like Smriti Irani and Shekhar Suman,” says UTV
CEO Ronnie Screwvala.
In
a related development, Smriti and UTV will be jointly producing
a comedy film. The film will be entirely shot in India.
