MUMBAI: Percept Picture Company (PPC) chief executive officer (CEO) Preet Bedi has resigned from his post with immediate effect, citing personal obligations as his reason for leaving.

The Board of Directors at Percept has accepted Bedi's resignation, and a replacement for Bedi will be announced shortly.

Said Bedi, "I will reveal my new workplace in three to four weeks," said Bedi.

Bedi joined Percept in January 2007 and was responsible for the company's activities in the areas of films, ad films, live events, television software and distribution divisions.

Bedi has over 15 years of experience at Lintas (now Lowe), initially spearheading its Delhi and Calcutta businesses, and later heading Mumbai and Delhi offices as director. He was also president of Rediffusion DYR for three and half years.

Under his stewardship, Rediffusion grew by over 60 per cent and won maximum global laurels.
