BANGALORE:
Defence minister and former Kerala chief minister AK Anthony
was awarded the Asianet Malayali of 2007. Kerala’s Chief
Minister VS Achuthandanan presented the award to Anthony yesterday
at the Kanakakunnu Auditorium, Thiruvanthapuram, in the presence
of Asianet Chairman Rajeev Chandrasekhar, according to an
official release from Asianet.
Asianet
Television Network had earlier conducted an extensive SMS
poll. AK Anthony emerged as the winner from a list of distinguished
personalities from Kerala by garnering 24 per cent of all
votes polled.
Asianet
Television Network will soon be launching Asianet Sitara (Telugu)
and channels in Tamil and Marathi.
