UTV World Movies is set to screen Carmen on 2 January. To be aired at 11 pm, the
film is a version of the Bizet opera, where a soldier (Don Jose) falls in love
with a factory worker (Carmen), but she does not reciprocate his feelings. Also,
the channel will air Guns of Dragon and Pinjar on 3 January at 8:30 pm and 11
pm respectively. Guns
of Dragon revolves around the story of a stressed-out cop who quits his job to
search for a better life and a less dangerous career. Unfortunately his quest
for peace and tranquility comes to an abrupt halt when his identity is revealed
during a vacation in New York landing him back in the hot seat Pinjar
is a drama set against the backdrop of the riots that took place in Punjab during
the India partition. The story focuses on the human aspects and relationships
that took place amidst the tragedies of kidnap, rape and displacement of families.
