MUMBAI:
Sahara's movie channel Filmy has launched Dhamakadar December,
an initiative which is a mix of programming and movies from
both Bollywood and Hollywood.
Under
the initiative, Filmy aims to celebrate the winter vacation
with kids through a special film festival - Chutti Chutti
Bang Bang - starting from 20 December at 10 am. Films
like the Airbud series, Spymate, Most Valuable
Primate will be aired during this festival, ending on
31 December.
Meanwhile,
the channel plans to celebrate Christmas with Jurassic
City at 7 am. The day lineup includes Air Force One
and Face/Off.
In
an attempt to celebrate Eid, Filmy will showcase the Muslim
social drama: Deedar-E-Yaar on 9 December at 3 pm.
On
the programming front, Filmy aims to celebrate birthdays of
Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Salman Khan under its
section 'Happy Budday Puttar,' in which it will showcase the
little known trivia about the stars.
The
channel has also lined up The 13th Warrior, Deep
Rising, The Pacifier and others for Thursday evenings
8 pm slot.
