MUMBAI: Vusion has been selected to deliver online HD video streaming by the National Geographic Channel (NGC).

NGC has created a special showcase for HD Video online, with, selected long form videos, to complement and promote its high definition network NGC HD. In order to maintain National Geographic Channel’s high standards for the end user experience, the HD videos will be streamed using Vusion’s award winning high quality video service.

Vusion senior VP, worldwide business development Robert E. Fasano says, “National Geographic Channel has always strived to establish a new standard for the world’s most compelling imagery, and the brand itself is synonymous with stunning photography and footage.

“It’s no surprise that viewers named NGC as the number one network they wanted to see in HD for the last 4 years running, so they are perfect content provider to work with to raise the bar for the Internet video experience.”

NGC senior VP research and digital media Brad Dancer says, “Online viewing of videos has grown dramatically over the last few years at our websites. Virtually everything we have produced since 2004 has been shot in native HD so we have added this showcase section to our web site as a complement to the HD programming on our network. This new HD video dramatically improves the end user viewing experience, with instant on and full screen high definition video available to virtually anyone with a broadband connection.”
