Ten Sports to bring Khali to Mumbai in mid-May

MUMBAI: The Indian heavy-weight wrestler Khali who has been dominating the Hindi news channel prime time for the last few months is visiting India.

Ten Sports is bringing Khali who has made news at Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to Mumbai sometime in mid-May. In Mumbai, Khali will be visiting various places for two days.

The sports channel owns the exclusive rights in the sub-continent territories for the WWE.

For the last couple of months, Khali's victories at WWE have been fodder for many Hindi news channels. Stories like Khali Ka Khatma, The Great Khali, Khali Ki Khalbali have pushed some of the Hindi news channels to top the chart in the number game.

Khali aka Dalip Singh is the only Indian to have made to the professional wrestling at WWE. As the former World Heavyweight Champion, he has ruled the SmackDown brand of WWE.

The 35-year-old wrestler is 7'2" and weighs over 200 kilos.

Khali worked with Punjab Police before he went to the US in 1999 and joined the All Pro Wrestling School. He also won the Mr India title in 1997 and 1998.
