MUMBAI:
Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation has raised its stake in
Germany's biggest pay-television operator Premier AG from
19.9 per cent to 22.7 per cent.
In
February, News Corp. had increased its stake to 19.9 per cent
from 14.6 per cent.
The
move has verified the media speculations that Murdoch is planning
to buy out majority stake in Premiere before Premiere's June
annual meeting.
Media
reports say it is unlikely that Murdoch will go beyond 30
per cent.
