MUMBAI:
Filmy has added more variety to its offerings. After screening
the premiere night of latest films in Filmy Premiere Nite,
the Hindi movie channel from the Sahara stable is now
creating a Sunday slot devoted for kids.
Beginning
6 April, 'Junior Filmy', as the slot is called, will present
kids with movies from 10 am to 2 pm.
The
TG for the slot is children aged between 10-14 years.
"Sunday
morning is a prime time for kids and hence we came up with
this slot which is completely dedicated for children,"
said Filmy senior marketing manager Keerat Grewal.
Some
of the titles include Air Bud Series, Spy Mate, The Duke,
Sindbad and Oz which will be dubbed in Hindi.
Titles
also include Hindi films like Mr India, Abra Ka Dabra,
Bhoot Uncle and Chhota Chetan.
The
channel has also acquired titles from Walt Disney and Sony
Pictures for the same.
Two
movies of two hours each will be aired back to back, every
Sunday.
To
enhance the presentation of movies and get more eyeballs,
the channel has come up with innovative methods.
Five
juniors , Pink Rose, Miss B, Gadbad Gobbar, Jaggu jasoos and
Mr Octopus; have been especially created to take the children
throughout the movies watching experience.
"Children
viewing is different from adult viewing. The idea was to indulge
the children and include some participation from them. This
kind of presentation makes the entire watching experiential,"
added Grewal.
Graphics
and pop ups will keep occurring while the movies are being
aired. Apart from all this fun, there will be a contest question
asked in every break of the movie. The kid who answers the
question correctly gets to win prizes.
