MUMBAI: Indiagames Ltd, the mobile and online games company and a global publisher of mobile games, has announced its partnership with the casual gaming company PopCap Games, to distribute key titles from PopCap's catalogue of games on the mobile platform in India.

PopCap Games, a developer and publisher of casual games, has been responsible for some popular online game titles, including its flagship game Bejeweled. As part of the agreement, Indiagames will exclusively distribute Bookworm and Chuzzle in India. The games will be available for download with telecom operators across India.

Indiagames COO Samir Bangara said, "Our partnership with PopCap Games is in tune with our policy of making available the best mobile gaming content to the Indian consumer. We believe that titles like Bookworm and Chuzzle which appeal to a wide audience will be equally popular with mobile gamers in India".

PopCap Asia Pacific VP James Gwertzman said, "We decided to enter India with a strong partner who could quickly help us build our mobile brand, and we found that partner in Indiagames."

PopCap had earlier tied-up with Indiagames to make its games catalogue available on Indiagames' subscription based online gaming service - Games on Demand (GoD).
