Ashok Mansukhani quits Hinduja Ventures

NEW DELHI: Hinduja Ventures president corporate Ashok Mansukhani has resigned. He will also quit as MSO Alliance president on 2 May.

Mansukhani told indiantelevision.com: "I wanted to do something on my own. I will be operating independently as a strategic consultant in the media sector."

 

Mansukhani is a 1975 batch Indian Revenue Service officer who later went on deputation to Doordarshan, which he left in the capacity of Deputy Director General, his last posting in the government.

He joined the Hinudjas in 1996 and was promoted to Executive Director, Corporate Services in May 2005 and finally President Corporate Affairs Hinduja TMT Limited.

 
As MSO Alliance president, he had been at the forefront of the association's efforts on Cas (conditional access system) and other issues that defined the relationship between broadcasters, cable operators and MSOs.
