MUMBAI: Omnicom Media Group Digital (OMD) has signed a content deal with NBC Universal. As per the terms of the deal, OMD along with newly created NBC Universal Digital Studio will develop and produce branded content for NBC digital properties.

In addition, OMD's East Coast digital director Suhaila Suhimi will join the new studio as director of brand strategy.

Suhimi will report to Cameron Death, former MSN executive who was named NBC Universal's vice president of digital content last October and will now serve as vice president of the digital studio.

Digital Studio's first productions are a science-fiction series Gemini Division and an unusual comedy about a college-aged zombie, Woke Up Dead, said an official release.

Intel, Cisco Systems and Microsoft are among the first brands involved with the development of Gemini Division, the statement said.
