Ajay Bhalwankar, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) vice president of Zee
Marathi and Zee Talkies, has been elevated to programming head of the network's
flagship channel Zee TV. Bhalwankar
assumed charge on Wednesday, 16 April. Bhalwankar
fills a vacancy left open by the departure last July of Ashvini Yardi, who quit
to join Viacom and TV18's joint venture company Viacom 18 for its upcoming general
entertainment channel. Bhalwankar
confirmed the development to Indiantelevision.com, saying, "Yes I
have been assigned the duties of programming head, which I have assumed from Wednesday
(16 April). Nikhil
Sane, who was AVP - Programming for Zee Marathi, will take on Bhalwankar's charge. |
