MUMBAI:
Sony BMG has announced a series of senior management changes
on Thursday. Barry Weiss, who was president and CEO of the
Zomba Label Group, is the new chairman and CEO of the BMG
Label Group. He will report to Sony BMG Music Entertainment
CEO Rolf Schmidt-Holtz.
Weiss
replaces Clive Davis who has been given the role of chief
creative officer of Sony BMG Worldwide. In this role, he will
continue to work with artists and will report to Schmidt-Holtz.
Also
BMG Label Group president and COO Charles Goldstruck and Sony
BMG COO Tim Bowen were dismissed with immediate effect.
Richard
Sanders, president of global marketing, will assume responsibilities
of Bowen.
