MUMBAI: Tata Communications has bagged two awards at the 2008 Nemertes Pilot House Awards during the FutureNet conference at Boston on 14 April.

Tata Communications was awarded best technology innovation: customer experience and MPLS services. It was recognised in two 'emerging carrier' categories, says the company release.

"These two awards highlight Tata Communications dedication to delivering the most up-to-date and cutting edge technology in the telecommunications industry," said Tata Communications COO in USA Dave Ryan who received the award for customer experience. "This award demonstrates our continued commitment to providing unparalleled innovative and technologically advanced solutions to our enterprise customers around the world."

Tata Communications head of MPLS services Peter Juffernholz received the award in MPLS services at the event. Juffernholz commented, "Tata Communications' MPLS network provides superior connectivity that our customers depend on. Our company delivers a wide array of service across the Tata Global Network which reaches deep into emerging markets, and this award shows that we are aligning well with our customers' strategies in high growth regions."

The purpose of the Pilothouse Award program is to recognize the innovative business leveraging technology and the top carriers and vendors providing technology. All awards are based on quantitative metrics that Nemertes' analysts create.
