NEW
DELHI: : DD-1 is all set to launch two new shows in a span
of three weeks. One is a family drama soap while the other
is a comedy.
This
is the third show announced by DD-1 in recent time. First
one was Bikhri Aas Nikhri Preet that will hit TV screens
from 27 April.
The
comedy show Happy Homes will go on air on 25 April
and will be telecast every Friday at 9 pm.
The
show is produced by Arun Govil and Sunil Lahri's production
house Art Weavers and the setting for the show is an old age
home where people from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
live together.
These
old people were committed to their families in their younger
days but they are today neglected by the same people they
cared for. After joining Happy Home they learn to enjoy
life and live it to its fullest. Although different in their
appearance and beliefs, the characters maintain love and a
strong bond amongst themselves.
The
daily afternoon soap, Kisi Ki Nazarr Na Lage, is produced
and directed by Rajaa Mukerji. It tells the story of a Bengali
joint family and spans three generations of characters.
Rudraprasad
Banerjee loses his wife just after the birth of his daughter
and takes up the responsibility of bringing up three sons
and a daughter solely. The eldest Rajshekhar gets married
and has two children but loses his wife to a car accident
and her body isn't found. Rajshekhar then marries his children's
governess Vanshikha. She obliges to her elders' wishes but
she is in love with Anirudh, Rudraprasad's youngest son and
the story unfolds.
The
serial is set to make its television debut on 5 May and will
air from Monday to Friday at 1 pm.
