Zee TV to launch Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah on 21 April

MUMBAI: Zee TV is set to launch a new show Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah beginning 21 April. Set in a Punjabi backdrop, the show will run Monday to Friday at 7 pm and a repeat telecast at 11 pm.

The show replaces Har Ghar Kutch Kehta Hai.

Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah (Marriage of our daughters) is about a mother's inherent anxiety about finding a suitable match for her daughters.

Announcing the launch, Zee TV business head Tarun Mehra said, "with Vivaah, we are talking about the strong emotional bond that parents share with their daughters, their dreams to get find a suitable life partner for their daughters."

The plot revolves around the Kohli's who are a middle class family from Delhi and have four daughters. Their mother, Kulraj Kohli, played by Himani Shivpuri is forever fretting about not having a good enough income from her husband's just sufficient salary as a professor. She is keen to see her daughters married in good affluent families and so dreams of every possibility to make that come true. Her husband is the recipient of her acrid retorts and constant complaints as to their lifestyle.

Vivah has actors like Himani Shivpuri, Raju Kher, Vinita Malik along with some new faces, Roopal, Shalini, Sonaali and Pariva.
