MUMBAI:
Star India has appointed Mohit Anand, former Microsoft India
(Entertainment and Devices Division) country manager, as general
manager for Channel [V].
Anand
will take charge of Channel [V] from 21 April. He replaces
Amar K Deb who recently quit the channel to float his own
content-selling portal.
Speaking
to Indiantelevision.com, Anand said: "I
have quit Microsoft and am joining Channel [V] from 21 April.
I have experience in entertainment. Being a part of Xbox 360,
our target audience was youth."
In
his eight-year stint at Microsoft, Anand was handling console
and PC games in the country. He was actively involved in roping
in film star Akshay Kumar and cricketers Yuvraj Singh and
Harbhajan Singh as brand ambassadors for Xbox 360.
