MUMBAI:
Zee Bangla is betting big on reality talent hunts. Shortly
after it launched Dance Bangla Dance with Mithun Chakraborty
in August, the channel is geared up to bring back the second
season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Juniors.
Structured
on the lines of Lil' Champs, a key property on its
flagship channel Zee TV, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Juniors is
slated to kick off on 17 September at 10 pm.
The
one hour show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Juniors will look to
woo audiences on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while Dance
Bangla Dance already occupies the same time band (10 pm) for
the rest of the week.
According
to Zee Bangla SVP Rajib Chatterjee, "Dance Bangla
Dance has emerged as the top rated show across Bengal
and is working very well for us. It opened with a TVR of 12
and has now settled at an average of 8. Now, Sa Re Ga Ma
Pa Juniors also joins our weekday primetime line up."
The
musical property Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has traversed across
all of Zee's regional language offerings and has garnered
eyeballs for the respective channels.
For
the second edition of the show, the channel has incorporated
changes which includes a rotation of the panel judges. This
has been done to avoid any element of bias which often emerges
as controversial issue amongst reality formats.
Zee
Bangla has roped in Sudesh Bhosle, Pritham and Indranil Sen
to be on panel of judges. Mahesh Manjrekar will also be featured
on the show as a special guest.
The
show will round up 63 contestants not only from Bengal but
also Bengalis from other parts of the country like Mumbai
and Allahabad. The launch will be supported by a mass media
campaign which includes outdoor, television and print.
