MUMBAI:Discovery Channel will air a special programme called The Complete Ali based on the legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali. The programme is scheduled to go on air on 9 September at 8 pm.

In the programme, Discovery Channel will explore the life of Ali and his influence inside and beyond the ropes of the boxing ring.

The programme bears witness to the life of Ali through the eyes of people who were closest to Ali, whose lives were touched by him and who, in turn, were inspired to take bold action of their own.

The Complete Ali will also showcase his journey into life while confronting Parkinson'd disease.

The show also has Ali's daughter and co-author of Soul of a Butterfly, Hana Ali speaking about the inspiration she derived from her father's faith.

From his seat in the State Legislature, Reginald Meeks speaks of Ali's magical effect on blacks in the 60's and how Ali gave him the courage to speak out against the Vietnam War and register as a conscientious objector.

Young, basketball star Etan Thomas credits Ali as his inspiration. The marathon runner John Ball, a Parkinson's patient himself, understands Ali's fight and cites him as his inspiration.
