MUMBAI:
After showcasing the distinctive and delectable street food
of some of the most visited cities of Asia including Tokyo,
Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok, Discovery Travel and Livings
(DTL) series World Café: Asia arrives in India.
In
India, the show host Bobby Chinn will escort viewers to experience
a variety of well-known and delicious dishes.
Presenting
Indian cuisine alongside the rest of Asia, Chinn's first stop
in India will be the holy city of Amritsar, which is known
for its rich curries and the lavish use of butter, cream and
ghee. Chinn will go through the lanes of Amritsar to experience
its food and culture with a visit to the traditional Kesar
da Dhaba, witness the cooking of Langar at the Golden
Temple and enjoy the world-famous 'Tandoori Chicken'.
Bobbys
next stop will be the pink city, Jaipur, one of Indias
biggest tourist attractions. In Jaipur, Chinn will cook khich
millet, a popular grain based breakfast dish at Nahargarh
Fort in Jaipur. He will also visit 'Chokhi Dhani', an ethnic
village set-up and meet the owner of Narain Niwas Palace hotel
to try out some of the traditional dishes and food recipes.
The
Amritsar episode will air on 13 September at 8:30 pm and the
Jaipur episode will air on 20 September at 8:30 pm.
