MUMBAI:
In an effort to maximise its programming innovation, Sony's
Max has roped in Mona Singh to present the Maha Movie on the
channel.
Starting
15 September at 8 pm, Mona Singh will play the movie jockey
in Extraaa Shots. The slot promises to adopt
a more personalized and interactive approach while highlighting
the lesser known facts about the movies.
Extraaa
Shots will kick off once again on the channel with the
world TV premiere of Traffic Signal.
"Extraaa
Shots is extremely popular and widely recognized, almost
synonymous with Max. Clearly, our audiences love this pioneering
concept that we launched four years ago, and I am delighted
that Mona Singh will be hosting this unique presentation for
us. Like Extraaa Shots, Mona is an extremely popular
personality, audiences love her, and relate to her, and so
it made perfect sense to have her on board with us. I am sure
the audiences will thoroughly enjoy this experience with her
and will look forward to Saturdays on Max," said Max
business head Sneha Rajani.
Describing
her role in Extraaa Shots, Singh said, "I am thrilled
to be associated with one of India's leading channels - Max.
Being a complete movie buff myself, I now have the perfect
platform to truly express my passion for films.
"As
a Movie Jockey, I will introduce the film to the viewers,
share some interesting insights on the film, try and bring
out some unknown aspects, features, facts that the audiences
would love to know."
