Vijay TV to strengthen fiction band with 'Kadhalika Neramillai'

MUMBAI: In a bid to strengthen its weekday programming mix in the fiction band, Vijay TV is set to launch a new show Kadhalika Neramillai in October for the 7:30 pm slot.

It will replace Swamy Iyappan which will be moved to the 7 pm slot.

The channel is looking to consolidate its presence in the fiction space further after the launching another fiction show Madurai in the 8:30 pm slot.

The channel currently airs Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal (Monday-Thursday) at 8 pm.

Vijay TV head Sriram K says, "Now, that we have established ourselves as pioneers in format shows; Vijay has taken a step forward to explore the fiction space further. With the launch of the new series Kadhalika Neramillai; we believe that our existing fiction band will be strengthened."

Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal completes its 200th episode in October and has planned a special promotional contest in association with BSA Ladybird who will be giving out 200 cycles to the winners.
