MUMBAI:
Network18 has posted a consolidated loss of Rs 206.70 million
(after tax and ESOP charge out) for the quarter ended 30 September
2007, as against a loss of Rs 110.30 million in the previous
quarter.
Despite
a rise in losses, revenue from operations jumped 20 per cent
from the previous quarter to stand at Rs 1.16 billion during
the July-September period.
Network18's
operating profit surged 119 per cent quarter-on-quarter to
Rs 184.60 million.
Said
Network18 MD Raghav Bahl, "We are thrilled with this
quarter's performance at the Group's holding company. All
our channels are scaling new heights. The revenues from Internet
properties are on an upswing. Homeshop18 is continuously increasing
its bouquet of products and services."
During
the quarter, Studio18 distributed Naqaab and Cash.
