MUMBAI: Media regulator Ofcom has raised concerns over
the future of children's TV in Britain claiming that
only 17 per cent of output is home-grown.
In
a new report, it states that such shows attract more
than a third of all viewers and parents were concerned
about the decline in British-made programmes in favour
of cartoons and US imports.
It
called for more investment by ITV1, GMTV, Channel 4
and Five, since it had halved in real terms since 1998.
