MUMBAI: Voom HD Networks has announced highlights from its fourth quarterly program slate. The expanded offering includes a variety of new action sports, arts, music and lifestyle series.

"In developing the Voom HD channel, we looked to amass a breadth of HD content sure to captivate viewers around the world," said Voom HD Networks GM Greg Moyer.

Among the highlights of Voom HD's programming schedule for fall are the premieres of new series Artland on 7 October, combining the quest for unique art pieces and fresh new artists across America; Nomads on 1 November, which follows the challenges and adventurous lifestyle of today's top action sports athletes; and Treasure Divers in December, a captivating series that documents the sea-faring escapades of real-life treasure seekers.

"The fourth quarter lineup definitely showcases the best in HD for those with interests in art and music, sports, lifestyle and factual programming," added Moyer.

Voom HD is also debuting new installments of its music performance series Soundstage, welcoming Tori Amos to the stage in October, and will take viewers to China to see one of the best video gamers competing in the first round of the World Series of Video Games.

Highlights from the Voom HD channel's offerings also includes The Alpine Chronicles which reveals alpine racing by looking at the day-to-day lives of a few athletes as they prepare for some of the most formidable challenges of the World Cup Alpine Circuit. This will air from 26 October to 28 October.

Smart Travels: Barcelona and Costa Brava which airs on 1 November showcases the beaches and architecture of Barcelona.

Treasure Divers which is a documentary/reality series follows real-life nautical treasure seekers Captain Carl Fismer and Captain Gary Mace in their search for sunken riches. The two who-along with their crews and Voom HD cameras, go across the seas and underwater in a quest for forgotten wealth-offers viewers an exciting adventure while unraveling clues as to where the lost bounty may be hidden. The Treasure Divers series premieres on 1 December.

Voom HD-available as a 24/7 feed, delivered in 1080i format high-definition with dolby digital 5.1 audio delivering six channels of surround sound-offers a diverse collection of HD programming on such topics as adventure travel, fashion, luxury lifestyle, art, live concerts, action sports and video gaming.
