MUMBAI:
Bhaskar Group's My FM is celebrating 100 years of Shaheed
Bhagat Singh by providing live updates of the celebrations
held in Amritsar city in Punjab.
As
a part of the celebrations, the station aired interviews of
Bhagat Singh's niece and grandson and singers like Gurdas
Maan and Hans Raj Hans. My FM has a live coverage of the receiving
of marshals from all over the country at Jallianwala Bagh.
My
FM business head Harrish M. Bhatia said, "Shaheed Bhagat
Singh was one of India's first freedom fighters. He was a
valiant hero and did our country very proud. We wanted to
do our bit to salute a freedom fighter of his stature by covering
the celebrations live. We also arranged interviews with his
niece and grandson who paid their tributes on-air."
My
FM national programming head Viplove Gupte said, "We
were the only channel to cover the celebrations live and also
arranged interviews with noted celebrities present there."
