MUMBAI: This week's high profile Uefa Champions League action has been scheduled by Ten Sports viewers, the sports channel of the sub-continent, the channel states in an official announcement.

Taking their interactivity with viewers to a different level, Ten Sports recently invited SMS responses from football fans across India as to which of the eight matches would they prefer to see live during Matchday Four of the Champions League.

Ten Sports had made arrangements to show Manchester United’s home leg tie against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev Live at 00:15 hrs on Thursday, 8 November, but the viewers have overwhelmingly voted in favour of Arsenal’s away game against Slavia Prague.

The channel has also altered the Tuesday delayed match to Chelsea versus Schalke, with Shaktar versus Milan live on Zee Sports.

Taj Television CEO Chris McDonald said, "A schedule change at this stage means substantial additional effort from our staff, but we are delighted to go that extra step to ensure we are responsive to our viewers. The change in the UEFA Champions League broadcast line-up is the first time in the subcontinent that a sports channel has altered its schedule due to real-time input from its viewers."

Arsenal's all-out attacking style in their 7-0 beating of Slavia made for some exhilarating viewing, which was one of the main reasons for fans to vote for this match to be shown live.

The Liverpool-Besiktas match will be followed by Schalke at home against Chelsea starting 3:15 am IST. The Arsenal-Slavia Prague live match on Thursday at 00:00 am, will be followed by the Manchester United-Dynamo Kiev match at 3:15 am IST.

The Uefa Champions League which starts in September continues till the champion club of Europe is determined in May.

The tournament comprises a group stage features 32 teams in eight groups of four, followed by four knockout rounds.
