MUMBAI: Kreeda Games' Bollywood based mass multiplayer online dance game Dance Mela has made it to the final list of 14 for Changemaker. It will compete with 13 countries and 75 games.

Dance Mela is a pure song and dance game with the latest Bollywood and international music tracks and all the coolest and funky dance moves programmed in.

Kreeda believes that the games’ USP of non-violent attributes of encouraging online communities through dance, chat, non-aggressive social interaction and fun with exercise makes it different from other games and won it the listing.

Kreeda Games CEO Quentin Staes-Polet informed, "We are happy to be nominated in top 14 across the world and proud to represent India and Indian gaming industry in the globe. Games like Dance Mela, we believe, will be the 'Soul of India' and surely help decrease the negative publicity against gaming."

Changemakers is an initiative of ‘Ashoka: Innovators for the Public’ that focuses on the rapidly growing world of social innovation.

It provides solutions and resources needed to help everyone become a change maker and presents compelling stories that explore the fundamental principles of successful social innovation around the world.

Changemakers is building the world's first global online "open source" community that competes to surface the best social solutions, and then collaborates to refine, enrich, and implement those solutions. It begins by providing an overarching intellectual framework for collaborative competitions that bring together individual social change initiatives into a more powerful whole.

To keep the framework dynamic, the online Changemakers' community identifies and selects the best solutions and helps refine them.

The result is global action frameworks, drawing on the work of social entrepreneurs that seed collaborative action and visibility on a global scale—making a big difference, field by field.

The top three winners from these 14 finalists will be decided by public voting, which closes on 7 November.
